Shrove Tuesday

Pancake Supper, Tuesday, March 4 @ 5.30pm

Don’t miss this great event on Shrove Tuesday* from 5.30pm-7.30pm. Some of the men of the church will serve up a great feast before the Lenten fast! All proceeds will go towards the clergy discretionary funds used to help those in need.

We will have resources available to make prayer beads, The Mystery of Easter bag, and the Lenten spirals that are mentioned in the preparation sections for each age.

*  Shrove comes from the Old English verb – “to shrive” or confess. So on Shrove Tuesday we take stock of ourselves and spend time seeing how we are to let our lights shine so the City on the Hill’s light can bring glory to the Father in Heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16.)  Of course this happens after some amazing pancakes.
